PRIME is inspired by the works of Bad Breens, BA Johnston, Deltron 3030, Grimes, the Beastie Boys, and Daniel Johnston. There are too many films and shows to list here as inspiration, but those should be clear upon listening. Maybe. To some.

davaflava created PRIME using an LG K4 phone as the only mic, to capture samples as well as vocals. Vocals were recorded in a single take for each track. Music was made using the Hydrogen, LMMS, and Audacity apps running on an Ubuntu/LINUX desktop PC.

All expenses were spared. davaflava has pretty much no money. Don't worry about it. The aforementioned apps and the OS are free to download. PRIME is free to download, too.

davaflava actually played guitar for a few seconds, but the guitar was terribly broken, and repairs would have been an expense. That wasn't much of a loss, though, really.

PRIME was made during the frosty month of February in 2018 as part of the RPM Challenge. PRIME would not exist if it weren't for the encouraging words of a friend.

davaflava is grateful.
